Who we are
Wellbeing for Communities is a non-profit and community organization located in Brisbane (Australia). It was founded in 2015 by Migrate (formerly Australian Engagement) as part of its focus on social responsibility, and with the support of a group of international students.
It was created for current and future international students, as well as for vulnerable local and international communities.
We aim to contribute to the wellbeing and integration of targeted vulnerable migrant and local communities living in Brisbane (in a first phase), and in Colombia (in a second phase).
We develop and support community development initiatives based on our targeted communities’ deficiencies and strengths in their wellbeing, identified through research projects conducted by our International Students’ Observatory, as well as by other organizations and individuals.
We also promote socially responsible practices in the sectors involving our targeted communities, aiming to enhance their wellbeing.
